Texas-based home builder, Gehan Homes was recently honored with three STAR Awards, including “Best Interior Merchandising” and “Best Poolscape” for their 5970 plan at The Dominion in San Antonio and “Warranty Service Professional of the Year” for outstanding customer service provided by Corporate Warranty Manager, Miken Riggs. These prestigious awards were presented by the Texas Association of Builders at the recent Sunbelt Builders Show.
Gehan Homes, the nation’s 27th largest homebuilder, debuted their Estate Series of homes with the completion of the 5970 plan. The French Country style residence encompasses 6,600 square feet and showcases a Parisian-inspired pool and outdoor entertainment area. The home was also featured in the latest San Antonio Parade of Homes and won awards in two categories.
The Estate Series marks Gehan Homes entry into the luxury market and consists of 10 plans with 40 elevation options, ranging from 3,100 to over 5,600 square feet. Current projects are located in The Dominion (San Antonio), Barton Creek (Austin) and construction is soon to begin in several Dallas-area communities.
As Gehan Homes continues to push the envelope of creativity and innovation in their home designs, a constant for the company is providing outstanding customer service, as evidenced in the honoring of Miken Riggs, Corporate Warranty Manager. Riggs was awarded the highly coveted “Warranty Service Professional of the Year” Award.
“Winning in three categories this year is a direct testament from our peers as to the quality of our craftsmanship as well as the dedication of our employees”, said Tim Gehan, CEO. “We are proud of the homes we build and of the people we employ.”
The STAR Awards recognize excellence in the homebuilding industry across the state of Texas. Out of over 400 entries, Gehan Homes was selected as a finalist in eight categories and was honored with three awards. The 2012 awards join others won in previous years including 3 STAR Awards earned in 2011 and 4 from 2010, including “Best Product Design” and “Builder of the Year”.
