Texas Homebuilder Gehan Homes Continues Expansion into Arizona
Peoria is second of four communities where Gehan Homes is introducing new floor plans designed exclusively for Phoenix-area homebuyers
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Gehan Homes, a Dallas-based homebuilder, continues its expansion into Arizona with the opening of its second Arizona community, Vista Pointe in The Village at Vistancia. A model home is now open at 13757 W. Creosote Drive in Peoria where move-up homebuyers can see the six new floor plans and 18 new front elevations that are exclusive to the Phoenix market.
Homebuyers can choose from 51 homesites with energy-efficient floor plans ranging from 2,001 to 3,947 sq. ft. Built on premium land that backs up to the community’s White Peak Mountain, each modern home will feature dramatic desert views, great rooms, flex rooms and three-car split garages with a variety of options, including snail showers, game rooms, pocket offices and media rooms. Architectural styles include Ranch Hacienda, Spanish Colonial and Tuscan.
“Many things attracted us to the Vistancia community, including our commitment to providing access to excelling schools in an established neighborhood that offers a variety of ways to lead an active lifestyle,” said Tim Gehan, CEO of Gehan Homes. Lake Pleasant Elementary School, located within Vistancia, and nearby Liberty High School are part of Peoria Unified School District, which boasts a 94 percent high school graduation rate and an Accelerated Academy for high performing students.
The Village at Vistancia is a multi-generational family community offering residents a vibrant and playful spirit with recreational experiences including the 15,000-square-foot Mountain Vista Club. The club features an aquatic park with three pools and two waterslides; indoor basketball gymnasium, tennis courts, and a game lawn home to many community events. Additionally, residents of The Village at Vistancia will enjoy access to the Foothills Center which encompasses a six-acre recreational facility complete with a six-lane lap pool, children’s playground and picnic ramada.
Mark Hammons, vice president and general manager of Vistancia, said Gehan Homes is a welcome addition to the master-planned community. “Gehan Homes’ long history as a quality builder combined with their new floor plans and contemporary streetscapes brings a new perspective to Vistancia.”
One of the top 30 builders in the U.S., Gehan Homes first entered the Arizona market in April, with the grand opening of its Hacienda at Greer Ranch community in Surprise. Similar upscale homes will be built in the Bridges at Gilbert and Palm Valley communities by the end of 2013.
